Getting to know me –

I’m a native Houstonian and completed my undergraduate training at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I earned my master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston and completed my predoctoral internship at Baylor College of Medicine. My clinical training included work across a range of Houston-based hospitals and clinics, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Houston Area Women’s Center, DePelchin Children’s Center, and the Neuropsychiatric Center at Ben Taub Hospital. I have been in private practice since 2013.

My work is grounded and practical, with a focus on helping people make meaningful changes in their lives. I place a strong value on evidence-based therapy, which means using methods that have been scientifically studied and shown to help people improve, while also tailoring our work to your goals, preferences, and life circumstances. I use research-supported approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based methods, to help clients develop clarity, flexibility, and tools they can carry into everyday life.

My style is warm and flexible. In sessions, we balance reflection with action so insight translates into real shifts outside of therapy. Over time, the pace and focus of our work adjusts based on what is most helpful for you.

I work with married and unmarried couples from a wide range of backgrounds. I am trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and combine structured, research-based tools with mindfulness and self-compassion-focused approaches, so our work is tailored to the specific needs of your relationship.

If you are considering therapy and want to see whether working together feels like a good fit, I hope you reach out.
